Avlado is Anidori's second horse after the death of Falada.

The Goose Girl
In late spring, after Geric and Ani's wedding, Ani befriends the stable-master and helps aid a mare to foal. She hears the newborn speak its name, Avlado, and repeats it back to him, unlocking the horse's language and cementing the special bond between them.
